NORWALK, Conn. - Padraig (Patrick) J. Gannon of Norwalk died Tuesday, May 28. He was 73.
Gannon was born July 29, 1939, in Tubbercurry, Sligo, Ireland, to Patrick and Rose (Leonard) Gannon. He was a Vietnam veteran who worked as a carpenter for over 47 years with St. Charles Kitchens in Pound Ridge and later with Putnam Kitchens in Greenwich.
Gannon is survived by his wife, Valerie Marcia (Fletcher) Gannon, of Norwalk; son, Kevin, of Norwalk; brother Joseph; sister, Betty Stinchon of England; nieces, Patty of Brooklyn and Kris of Bridgeport; and many nieces and nephews in Ireland. He was predeceased by his parents; brother, Frank; and sisters, Marion Schlegel and Rosaleen Seevers.
Calling hours are Sunday, June 2 from 4 to 6 p.m. at The Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Ave., Norwalk. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, June 3 at 10:30 a.m. in St. Philip Church, Norwalk. Entombment will follow at Willowbrook Cemetery, Westport.
