Mary Williams, 95, Of Norwalk

NORWALK, Conn. – Mary Veronica Gulyas Williams of Norwalk died July 20 at Laurel Ridge Health Care Center in Ridgefield. She was 95. 

She was born Feb. 13, 1917, in Vintondale, Pa., a small coal-mining town. The daughter of Paul Louis Gulyas and Susie Harnocz Gulyas, Williams was very proud of her Hungarian heritage. She was married to Charles A.  Williams, who predeceased her. 

She was also predeceased by two brothers, Stephen Gulyas and Paul Gulyas; and two sisters, Elizabeth Kish and Irene Toth. Williams is survived by three sons, Paul A. (Paulette) Williams, of Ridgefield and Dennis Williams and Charles A. (Janet) Williams, both of Norwalk; eight grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. 

Calling hours are from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Magner Funeral Home in Norwalk. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, followed by burial at Riverside Cemetery in Norwalk. The Rev. Frank E. Wismer III of Christ Episcopal Church will officiate.
