NORWALK, Conn. Mary Dopona of Norwalk died Aug. 26 at Notre Dame Convalescent Home. She was 103.
Dopona was active in politics for many years, serving as vice-chairperson of the First Ward Democratic Party. She was predeceased by her husband, Frank Dopona.
She is survived by a son, Thomas DuPona of Fairfield; a grandson, Marcus DuPona of Upham, N.D.; and several nieces and nephews. Dopona was predeceased by a sister, Anna VanBuskirk.
Funeral services will be held privately. Magner Funeral Home in Norwalk is handling arrangements.
