Devine was born on June 25, 1979 in Norwalk to Jay and Cathy Devine, graduating from Norwalk High School, the College of William and Mary and Fairfield University.
She was a longtime swim team member, winning a state title with Norwalk High and swimming collegiately at William and Mary.
Devine was also a coach at the Shore and Country Club.
She taught Language Arts at Saxe Middle School in New Canaan for 12 years, and was also a reading specialist at New Canaan High School.
Devine is survived by her parents, brothers Kevin, Daniel and Robert, sister Kim and grandmother Eleanor, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Visiting hours will be on Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Collins Funeral Home, located at 92 East Avenue in Norwalk.
A mass of Christian burial will be on Thursday at 10 a.m. at St. Philip Church, 1 Conlon Place, Norwalk.
Interment will follow at St. John Cemetery in Norwalk.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to a scholarship for Norwalk High School students interested in pursuing Language Arts as a career. Contributions can be made payable to Lovejoy & Rimer, Trustee, Attn: Chris Jarboe, 65 East Avenue, Norwalk, CT 06851.
