NORWALK, Conn. - Joseph Dervil, 65, of Norwalk, died Wednesday, April 8.
He was born Feb. 18, 1950, in Haiti, to the late Antoine and Stephanie Millen Dervil.
Dervil worked as an auto mechanic.
Survivors include his wife, Jocelyne Fortune Dervil; six daughters, Wendy Mendes, Joann Laporte-Bullock, Claudia Dervil-Stecher, Franceska Dervil, Vanessa Paul, and Christine Dervil; three sons, Jeffery Laporte, Joseph Dervil, and Francis Dervil; five brothers, Gasner J. Dervil, Dominic Dervil, Andre Dervil, Marc Alexander Dervil, and Jean Dervil; two sisters, Madeline Papillon and Rose Roche; nine grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be from 8:30-10:30 a.m. Friday at Hoyt-Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 5 E. Wall St., Norwalk.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 203 East Ave., Norwalk.
Interment will follow in St. John’s Cemetery, 223 Richards Ave., Norwalk.
