NORWALK, Conn. - George Kourpouanides, of Norwalk, died Saturday, March 23. He was 61.
Kourpouanides was born May 1, 1951, in Spilia, Greece, son of Kiriaki Papadapoulos Kourpouanides and the late Konstantinos Kourpouanides. He emigrated from Greece in 1973 at the age of 21. He worked for Pepperidge Farm in Norwalk for more than 25 years.
Kourpouanides is survived by his mother, Kiriaki; wife, Parthena; children, Konstantinos, Sandi, Renita and Gregory Kourpouanides all of Norwalk; one grandson; six siblings. He was predeceased by his father, Konstantinos.
Calling hours are Tuesday, March 26, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Collins Funeral Home, 92 East Ave., Norwalk, Conn. The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 27, at St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 238 West Rocks Road, Norwalk, Conn. Interment will follow in the Riverside Cemetery, 81 Riverside Ave., Norwalk, Conn.
