NORWALK, Conn. -- Francine Elizabeth Arndt, of Norwalk, died peacefully at home with her family at her side on Saturday, April 18. She was 80.
Arndt was born in Redding to Alban and Mary Isabel (nee Babineau) Melanson. She worked at Perkin Elmer, received her nursing degree, and became a dietary nutritionist at Nutri-System.
She was predeceased by her parents; her brother, Louis Melanson; and her sister, Mary Ann Drab. She is survived by her husband, Walter; her sons, Alan and his wife, Janice, and Paul Arndt; her daughter, Andrea Fedor, and her husband, Allen; eight grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Sharon Arndt Esposito; and several nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be Thursday, April 23, from 5-8 p.m. at The Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Ave., Norwalk.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place Friday, April 24, at 11 a.m. at St. Jerome Church, 23 Half Mile Road, Norwalk.
Interment will follow in St. John Cemetery, 223 Richards Ave., Norwalk.
