NORWALK, Conn. - Filomena Allegretta of Norwalk died Sept. 12. She was 88.
Allegretta was born June 15, 1925, in Bari, Italy, daughter of Giovanni and Carmela Grimaldi. She was a member of the Senior Center.
Allegretta is survived by her daughter, Marie Vitale (John) of Norwalk; son, Ralph Allegretta (Linda) also of Norwalk; five grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents; husband, Ralph Allegretta; and brother, Alfredo Grimaldi of Italy.
Calling hours are Monday, Sept. 16 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Collins Funeral Home, 92 East Ave., Norwalk. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, Sept. 17 at 10 a.m. in St. Jerome Church, 23 Half Mile Road, Norwalk. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery, 223 Richards Ave., Norwalk.
