NORWALK, Conn. – Donald L. Stuart, Sr., 89, of Norwalk, died Sunday, March 29.
He was born on April 8, 1925, in Worcester, Mass. Stuart served in the Army Medical Corps as a field medic in World War II. He worked for Grand Union as a meat manager for 26 years.
He is survived by his wife, Jane L. Hoyt-Stuart; two sons, Charles of Darien; Steven of Norwalk; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his son, Donald L., Jr.
The wake will be held Wednesday, from 5-8 p.m. Services will take place Thursday, at 10 a.m., at Collins Funeral Home. Burial with military honors will follow in St. John’s Cemetery.
