Argeros was born Oct. 3, 1925, to Kyriakos (Charles) Vasilacopoulos and Georgina Ladas. She resided in Ware, Mass., until the age of four, whereupon the family moved to Norwalk in 1929. She attended local schools, graduating from Norwalk High School in 1943. She worked as a bookkeeper for a variety of local businesses for many years, retiring at age 83.
She was active in community affairs being a Girl Scout Leader, a Boy Scout Den Mother, the Philoptohos organization, the Women’s Ahepa Association, and the Norwalk Women’s Evening Club.
Argeros is survived by her daughters, Dee (Jon) Dyer, Dorothea Combis, Denise Weeks (Douglas) all of Norwalk; sons, Dean (Pauline) of Phoenix, Ariz., Timothy (Donna) of Old Greenwich and William of Norwalk; nine grandchildren; four great grandchildren; three step great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews; and great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; and husband, William Argeros.
Calling hours are Thursday, Dec. 26 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Collins Funeral Home, 92 East Ave., Norwalk. Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 27 at the Church of the Archangels, Bedford St., Stamford. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery, Norwalk.
