NORWALK, Conn. – Benjamin (AKA Captain) Davis, 71, died Sunday, Feb. 15 at Norwalk Hospital.
He was born Jan. 28, 1944 in Norwalk to the late John Pomroy and Elizabeth Davis.
He is survived by four children: daughter Janet Davis of Stamford; son John Glee of Atlanta; and daughter Pauline Davis and son Richard Hines, both of Norwalk; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one brother of Chesapeake, Va.; two sisters of Roanoke, Va.; one niece of Virginia Beach, Va.; four very close friends; his companion, Joann Spikes; and a host of aunts, cousins and friends.
There will be a memorial service at 6 p.m. Friday in Bethel A.M.E. Church, 19 Academy St., Norwalk.
