Albert Boczer, 86, Norwalk Native

NORWALK, Conn. -- Albert A. "Butch" Boczer, a Norwalk native, has died. He was 86.

He was the husband of the late Doris Gagnon Boczer.

Boczer was born in Norwalk on July 14, 1929, the son of the late Andrew (Andor) and Mary Keskes Boczer. He graduated from Norwalk High School in 1947. 

Boczer was a veteran of the Korean War, having served in the U.S. Army. He later worked for many years in the heating and air conditioning business, first for Roy Brothers and then retiring from L.J. Denner. 

Boczer is survived by his children, Deborah (John) DiScala, Keith (Deborah) Boczer, Karin (Kenneth) Csehak; grandchildren, Lauren (Peter) Healy, John and David DiScala, Justin and Mark Boczer, K.C. and Kristopher Csehak, great-grandsons, Jaxton and Camden; and dear friend Ernie Mariott.

Boczer's family will receive friends at the Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Ave., Norwalk, on Sunday from 4 to 7 p.m. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Jerome Church, 23 Half Mile Road, Norwalk, on Monday, Sept. 14 at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers donations in his name may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project.
