Adele Tschilske, 95, Former Norwalk Seamstress

NORWALK, Conn. – Adele H. Tschilske, a former longtime Norwalk resident, died July 14 at the Masonic Health Care Center in Wallingford, Conn. She was 95. 

Born May 2, 1917 in Norwalk, she was the daughter of William and Anna Hess. She was married to Herman Tschilske for more than 64 years. Tschilske lived in Norwalk for most of her life. 

She worked as a seamstress for many years and was last employed at Charles of the Ritz in Norwalk. Tschilske and her husband moved to Florida in 1976 and returned to Connecticut in 2000. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star for more than 50 years. Tschilske loved dancing, music, ceramics and needle crafts. 

She is survived by two daughters, Patricia Tschilske, of Norwalk and Joan Ellis, of Las Vegas; a son, Robert (Linda) Tschilske, of Milford, Conn.; as well as several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Tschilske was predeceased by her husband, Herman; two brothers, Jacob Hess and William Hess and two sisters, Edna Haase and Hazel Hodge. 

Affordable Cremations in Milford is in charge of the arrangements. Services will be held privately.
