Wire Damage Slows Metro-North Trains On New Haven Line

original story: FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. — Train riders on the New Haven Line may experience scattered delays Wednesday afternoon due to overhead wire damage in the vicinity of the South Norwalk and East Norwalk stations, Metro-North announced. 

Scattered residual delays of up to 20 minutes in both directions were reported due to the damage, Metro-North said. 

The delays were first reported at about 3 p.m. and continued into the afternoon. 

Train riders should listen for announcements at their stations, Metro-North said.
