FAIRIFIELD COUNTY, Conn. - Winter weather is here. Snow is finally forecast to make a measurable appearance in Fairfield County Saturday, the National Weather Service says.
The snow should start falling early Saturday morning and last through afternoon, bringing 4 to 7 inches of snow to the region, says the Weather Service, which is calling this storm "the first widespread snow event of the season."
Sunday should be sunny with a high in the mid-30s. More wintry weather could move in Sunday night, with the weather service predicting some rain, sleet and freezing rain that may cause school delays Monday morning.
