High school football: Games scheduled Friday and Saturday have been postponed. Most of this week’s games have been re-scheduled for next Thursday in the Fairfield County Interscholastic Athletic Conference.
High school playoff games: The FCIAC will play semifinals in boys' soccer, field hockey and girls' soccer Tuesday. The winners will be co-champions. The volleyball quarterfinals also will be Tuesday and the semifinals are Wednesday. Playoffs in the South-West Conference involving teams from Joel Barlow will be played Sunday. The boys' soccer team plays Bethel at 7 p.m. at Pomperaug in Southbury, and the girls' soccer team plays Immaculate of Danbury at 6 p.m. Sunday at Newtown High. Barlow’s field hockey team plays at 1 p.m. Sunday at Immaculate, and the volleyball team plays at 2 p.m. Sunday at Barlow.
State Open cross country: Teams from throughout Fairfield County will race Sunday at Wickham Park in Manchester. The girls' race begins at 2 p.m. The boys' race begins at 2:45 p.m.
Youth football: The Fairfield County Football League playoffs have been postponed until next week. The Norwalk Packers fourth-grade team plays for the Colonial League championship at 9 a.m. Saturday against Bridgeport at Nolan Field in Ansonia. Two other Norwalk teams will have playoff games Sunday, also at Nolan Field.
Youth soccer: Teams from the Fairfield, Stamford and Old Greenwich youth soccer associations are scheduled to play Saturday in Connecticut Cup games in Farmington.
