Heavy rain could cause coastal flooding Saturday night and Sunday morning in Fairfield County, the National Weather Service says.
The storm, bringing wind and chilly temperatures, has prompted a flood watch and a coastal flood warning that will last into Sunday morning in Fairfield County, the Weather Service says. Rain should begin falling Saturday afternoon and become heavier Saturday night, when up to 2 inches of rain is predicted. Wind gusts of up to 50 mph could knock down tree limbs and power lines as temperatures drop in the mid-40s, the Weather Service warns.
Skies should clear Sunday, when the temperature should hit 60, though it will remain windy. There is another chance of rain Monday and Tuesday.
