Temperatures Will Plummet To Single Digits In Norwalk Overnight

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- With the latest threat of snow exiting the region, Fairfield County residents now should brace for a bout with bitter cold temperatures in the single digits and wind chills below zero.

Thursday will be mostly sunny as temperatures plummet, according to the National Weather Service. The low for Thursday evening is expected to be about 5 degrees with a wind-chill hovering around zero.

The frigid cold will remain on Friday with partly sunny skies and high temperatures around 22. 

Clouds roll into the area on Friday night and could bring light-to-moderate snow starting on Saturday and sticking around through Monday.

Chance of snow with this system is 60 percent, but no accumulation totals have yet been predicted.
