You may be able to buy beer, wine and liquor on Sunday in Connecticut if a state legislator has her way, WTNH reported on its website Monday.
State Rep. Kathy Tallarita, a Democrat from northern Connecticut, filed a bill Monday to repeal the Sunday ban, the station reported.
"I am encouraged that the public overwhelmingly supports Sunday liquor sales and that Governor Malloy has said he supports repealing the current ban," Tallarita said in a written statement quoted by WTNH.
Connecticut is one the few remaining states to ban Sunday liquor sales.
