Stamford Police Involved in Norwalk Incident

NORWALK, Conn. – More than a dozen police patrol cars swarmed a Norwalk neighborhood early Thursday in a scene that included a crashed motor vehicle near Interstate 95.

Members of both the Norwalk and Stamford police departments were at Reed Street and Fairfield Avenue at about 2 a.m., where a slightly damaged white sedan was almost entirely off the road. A Connecticut state police car was seen nearby, and canine units from Norwalk and Stamford were in the area. Police officers searched through the nearby woods with flashlights, and some officers in patrol cars used spotlights to illuminate nearby parking lots.

The Daily Norwalk will provide more details as they become available.
