Services Planned for NFL Legend Robustelli

Services for Pro Football Hall of Famer Andy Robustelli will be held Friday and Saturday at Lacerenza Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 8 Schuyler Ave. in Stamford.

Robustelli, 85, died Tuesday. He played for the New York Giants and the Los Angeles Rams in the National Football League and was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1971. Robustelli served as director of operations of the Giants from 1974-78 and also had a successful business career with Robustelli Corporate Services.

He is survived by nine children and their spouses, 29 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. His wife, Jeanne, died on April 1.

Calling hours are 2-8 p.m. Friday and 8:30-10:30 a.m. Saturday. A Mass will be celebrated Saturday at 11:30 a.m. at St. Cecilia's Church.
