Rescuers Couldn't Revive Man Found in Water

NORWALK, Conn. – Norwalk Fire Department paramedics were unable to revive a man whose body was pulled from the water off Connecticut Avenue on Saturday, Norwalk Police Sgt. James Boff said. The man's name is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.

Police were called about a body floating in the water of River Front Park, at the Darien/Norwalk line, at 12:47 p.m. by a man who was in the park with his two children, Boff said. Norwalk Fire Department paramedics tried to revive the victim because he had been in cold water.

The state medical examiner's officer will do an autopsy, Boff said. River Front Park is in front of Priceline, across the street from Costco.
