Four men arrested by the Special Services Unit of the Norwalk Police Department were charged with varying counts of gun possession without a permit, altering the serial numbers on the guns, and conspiracy. They allegedly were involved in an illegal sale of the guns. Police recovered four guns at the time of the arrests.
Sylvester Edwards, 21, of 6 Leuvine St., Norwalk and Sergio Candelario, 19, of 556 Gregory Blvd., Bridgeport were arrested and held on a $500,000 bond. Rahsen Fisher, 30, of 1535 Wilcock, Waterbury and Sammy DeJesus, 18, of 15 Madison St., Norwalk, were arrested and held on $250,000 bond. Edwards was charged with sale and delivery of a pistol in addition to interfering with a police officer. Lieutenant Thomas Mattera,Commander of the Special Services Division, declined to release any additional details, saying that these arrests are part of an ongoing investigation.
