The couple cheered and burst into tears as judge Sabrina Soto announced that their popular light display had won the top prize in the episode that aired on ABC on Monday night. The win was especially memorable, as this will be the last year the Settis host their Christmas Village at their Midwood Road home.
"To be chosen as Top Dog, that is an honor that I will never, ever forget," Rick Setti said on the program.
"We can retire now very happy," Joan said.
Soto told them that their display was chosen because each of the 400 individual pieces in the village were hand-made. She said they had also inspired so many people over the 26 years that they put up their lights and display.
The Settis were awarded a trophy and $50,000 prize in Monday's episode.
