This money will help to fund the surge in demand for trauma-related treatment services for children up to 19 years old. The agency serves the towns of Norwalk, New Canaan, Darien, Westport, Weston, and Wilton.
“This $35,000 grant from FCCF further enables the Child Guidance Center to provide trauma treatment services to our community's most vulnerable children and youth. We are most grateful to FCCF for this generous grant,” said Stuart Greenbaum, executive director of the center, in a statement.
“We are pleased to support the center’s evidence-based programs addressing the trauma challenges of our community’s children, youth and their families,” FCCF Program Director Nancy M. von Euler said in a release.
The center works with children, youth and their families facing behavioral health crises. Since the Child Guidance Center of Mid-Fairfield was founded in 1956, it has provided comprehensive mental and behavioral health services to thousands of children and their families
