Karoll Angelina Jurado-Hernandez, of Norwalk, was arrested on Tuesday, Feb. 4, for an incident that took place on Aug. 24, 2019, at the Khronos Beauty Salon at 250 Westport Ave., in Norwalk, said police.
An investigation by members of the Special Victims Unit found that Jurado-Hernandez, an employee of the salon, had sexually assaulted the juvenile victim while at the business, Norwalk Police Lt. Jared Zwickler said.
Det. Kristina LaPak, who was the lead investigator, obtained a search warrant for the suspect’s DNA, which was found to be a match to evidence recovered during the investigation, Zwickler said.
Jurado-Hernandez was charged with sexual assault and risk of injury to a minor.
She is being held on a $250,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday, Feb. 18.
