Silverman was discovered in the apartment when officers responded on a welfare check on a report of a suicidal male resident, police said. When officers arrived, they forced entry into the apartment, where they found Silverman's body and Thompson unresponsive in a bedroom, police said.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene, and he was taken to Norwalk Hospital for treatment, police said.
Thompson was arrested and held on a court-set bond of $1 million after he was released from the hospital.
His case was stayed until Oct. 20 while the defense decided whether to pursue a probable cause hearing, thehour.com reported.
