Norwalk Mom, Children Held at Gunpoint

NORWALK, Conn. — A mother and two children were held at gunpoint Friday afternoon by two men who broke into their Longview Court home armed with handguns during a home invasion and robbery, said Norwalk Police Chief Harry Rilling.

Rilling would not confirm what was taken, but police reports indicated a safe containing two handguns, cash and ammunition was targeted and removed during the robbery.

The woman told police that two black men, both about 5 feet, 10 inches, broke into the house brandishing handguns. One was wearing a mask; the other had on a black hoodie and jeans, police reports said. Rilling said the two men fled in a white car heading toward Stamford.

“No shots were fired, and nobody was hurt,” Rilling said. He said the department’s Detective Bureau was investigating.
