Norwalk Hospital Explores Possible Partnership

NORWALK, Conn. – In order to better help patients Norwalk Hospital and the Western Connecticut Health Network are looking work together.

The two organizations are beginning a study on how they can work together to provide better health care.

“We believe that, together, we can deliver the right care in the right place at the right time to our patients through an integrated network of facilities and resources,” says John M. Murphy, M.D., President and CEO, Western Connecticut Health Network. “What excites us is how much we can accomplish as partners to provide a consistent and seamless patient experience across an expanded network of sites.”

With a combined total of 784 beds the two health care groups, across three facilities, joining together would provide them an opportunity to “sustain an environment of continuous learning, discovery and innovation through medical education and research,” Norwalk Hospital President and CEO Dan DeBarba said.

Determining how the two organizations can best combine their services could take several months a release said.
