Metro-North Plans Extra Trains for Giants Parade

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. – Metro-North Railroad will run extra trains Tuesday for fans attending the ticker-tape parade for the Super Bowl champion New York Giants. The parade is set for 11 a.m. in the city's Canyon of the Heroes.

Off-peak prices will apply on the extra trains. Customers should purchase round-trip tickets in advance at ticket vending machines or ticket offices and choose the single round-trip MetroCard option for travel to lower Manhattan by New York City Subway. From Grand Central take the Lexington Avenue No. 4, 5 or 6 to Brooklyn Bridge-City Hall. The Wall Street station will be closed during the parade.

Customers are asked not to bring alcohol on trains. 

Metro-North will operate an 8:47 a.m. express train, stopping at Bridgeport and Stamford and arriving at Grand Central Terminal at 10:20 a.m. 

There will be a 3:23 p.m. express from Grand Central, stopping at Westport, Fairfield and Fairfield Metro.
