Democratic candidate for governor Ned Lamont of Greenwich stopped by the Nathan Hale School on Strawberry Hill Ave. in Norwalk Tuesday morning as voters turned out to the polls.
"It's up to the voters now. The bigger the turnout, the better it is," he said. "I urge everybody to vote. There's no more time for more politicking. Just get out and vote."
Lamont is running against former Stamford Mayor Dan Malloy, who was endorsed by the state Democratic Party.
"I offer a fresh start to Connecticut. You haven't had a guy who started a business and created jobs leading the state for a long time," Lamont said. "I think we've suffered for it."
According to a Quinnipiac poll released yesterday, Lamont leads Malloy by three points.
"I think we've run a good positive campaign," Lamont said. "We want people not to vote against anybody, I want to give them somebody to vote for.
"It's up to you now. It's up to you to get out and vote."
