FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. - The morning may have started off with partially cloudy sun, but the National Weather Service warns of heavy rain for later Sunday afternoon.
According to the report, the rainfall is likely to be heavy through early Monday morning, which could result in flooding for areas with "poor drainage," particularly in urban settings.
The alert also warns that flash flooding is possible especially in places where more than one bout of heavy rainfall occurs within a short period of time. Strong winds are also a possibility.
