Frost To Blanket Northern Fairfield County Overnight

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- Cold conditions will spread over much of northern Fairfield County from late Monday into Tuesday morning, the National Weather said in issuing a Frost Advisory for much of the state.

Cold conditions were expected overnight, with the Frost Advisory in effect from 2 to 8 a.m. Tuesday.

Widespread frost was expected with temperatures in the mid-30s, the weather service said. The cold could damage or kill sensitive outdoor plants. Plants should be covered to protect them from the frost.
