The freeze warning remains in effect from 8 p.m. Sunday to 10 a.m. Monday, the National Weather Service said. The high wind warning that had been issued for the county is canceled.
Temperatures will be in the lower 30s, with the coldest temperatures expected Sunday night through early Monday morning. The National Weather Service warns that the freezing temperatures will kill sensitive plants and crops. Sensitive plants should be protected and brought indoors, if possible.

United Illuminating reported the following outages as of 3:30 p.m.:
- Bridgeport: 1 outages affecting 8 customers
- Easton: 2 outages affecting 59 customers
- Fairfield: 3 outages affecting 3 customers
- Shelton: 1 outage affecting 1 customer
- Trumbull: 2 outages affecting 19 customers
