Flooding Halts Metro-North Danbury Line

Metro-North suspended train service Monday morning on the Danbury Line because of a track washout near the Bethel Station. Commuters should use the Harlem and New Haven lines to get into New York City, both of which are operating normally.

Metro-North was set to resume its regular schedule on Monday, after a series of harsh winter storms knocked many trains out of commission and forced Metro-North to cut its service.

Express bus service was being provided from Danbury and Bethel to South Norwalk. Shuttle train service will be provided between Wilton and South Norwalk. Service remained suspended at Redding, Branchville and Cannondale.
