Waters most in danger of flooding were the Still River in Brookfield through Saturday and the Housatonic River at the Stevenson Dam in Monroe through Friday night after torrential rains Thursday in northern Fairfield County.
The chance of rain on Friday was nearly 100 percent throughout the county, with high temperatures in the mid-60s predicted, the weather service said.
Saturday won't be any nicer, with more rain, wind and high temperatures in the 50s, it said.
The chance of rain lessens Sunday, but it won't be any warmer with high temperatures in the 50s under mostly cloudy skies, the national weather service said.
The nicest day of the weekend by far will be Monday, Memorial Day, which should feature sunny skies and highs in the 60s for the holiday.
