The alert will last from Friday morning to Saturday afternoon, the service’s alert said.
Between two and four inches are expected to fall between Thursday night and Saturday afternoon, with the heaviest rain falling Friday afternoon through Saturday morning. There is a possibility that between one and two inches could fall per hour during that time.
This amount of rain could result in flash flooding in urban and poor drainage areas, the National Weather Service said. However, small streams could also experience flooding, but main streams and rivers should remain within their banks.
"The main concern during this time period will be flashy responses across the urban areas and small streams," the service alert read.
