Last night the Norwalk Fire Department Board of Fire Commissioners presented Jim Hardiman a Norwalk Community Hero Recognition. On December 22, a house on Ohio Ave. Ext exploded due to a gas leak. The house belonged to the Wufflef family, who were inside at the time of the explosion. Hardiman, who lives next door on Fairfield Terrace, bravely rescued his neighbor, Andrea Wuffleff, and her son, Henry, from their home after the explosion.
