A man who drove away after rear-ending a car on Grist Mill Road in Norwalk was driving drunk, say Wilton police who arrested him on Route 7 shortly after the accident. The Feb. 23 accident was minor, police said. Constatine Poulus, 46, of Redding, stopped and made contact with the other driver, but left before Norwalk police arrived, police said.
After he left the scene, a 911 call came in to Wilton police and officers were dispatched to find Poulus. Officers stopped Poulos on Route 7 in Wilton and arrested him, the police report said. He was charged with driving under the influence and released on a promise to appear. No court date was given in the police report.
