Crash Cleared From I-95 Northbound In Norwalk

Update: NORWALK, Conn. -- The accident blocking the right lane of I-95 north in Norwalk has been cleared on Wednesday afternoon, the Connecticut Department of Transportation said. Traffic delays remain back to Darien at about 3:15 p.m.

Original story: NORWALK, Conn. -- An accident is blocking the right lane of I-95 northbound in Norwalk on Wednesday afternoon, the Connecticut Department of Transportation said.

The two-vehicle accident is near Exit 16 for East Avenue. Delays are reported for nearly 5 miles back to Exit 11 for the Post Road/Route 1 in Darien, DOT said.

Motorists should expect delays and stop-and-go traffic in the area. The accident occurred just before 2:30 p.m.
