FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- Temperatures will be unseasonably cool for August with highs in just the 70s this week in Fairfield County, the National Weather Service said.
There will be a chance of showers and thunderstorms from Monday and with an increasing chance of storms into Tuesday, the weather service said.
The rest of the week should be beautiful, with Wednesday, Thursday and Friday dawning sunny, with highs near 75 degrees. Overnight lows in the 50s will be perfect for sleeping.
