Commuters: Beware of More Snow, Ice

Commuters heading back to work Tuesday morning may be in for a headache of a commute. The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather watch that is in effect from late Monday though Tuesday night.

Forecasters predict snow will start late Monday, with 1 to 2 inches accumulating. Temperatures will hover at about 20 degrees overnight, which may cause roads to be extremely slick. A wintry mix with snow, sleet and wind is forecast for the morning commute.

The weather will then change to rain and freezing rain in the afternoon with another 1 to 2 inches of snow expected. Things will taper off at about 3 p.m. as temperatures begin to rise. Be sure to check for delays or cancellations for schools, trains and work.
