Common Council Voting on Light Agenda

The Norwalk Common Council meets at 8:00 p.m. Tuesday for what Councilman Rick McQuaid, chairman of the Recreation, Parks and Cultural Affairs Committee, described as one of its simpler meetings. The only items on the agenda are nine recommendations from the Committee to be voted upon by the Council members. Seven of these recommendations would authorize the mayor to approve the use of Town facilities by outside organizations for everything from a triathalon at Calf Pasture Beach to a reggae and blues festival at Cranbury Park. The other two would authorize a roof replacement and accept a state grant for sewage disposal. “Who knows,” said McQuaid. “We could be out of there by 8:30.”
