Check Your Tickets, Norwalk: Two Winning Mega Millions Ticket Sold

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- Two winning tickets were sold in California and Georgia for the huge Mega Millions jackpot drawn late Tuesday. But Fairfield County residents should check their tickets for smaller prizes.

In addition to the two jackpot-winning tickets, there were 20 $1 million winners, and a huge number of tickets won smaller prizes, lottery officials said.

The jackpot was estimated at $636 million when the drawing was held, but could grow once sales figures are compiled.

The winning numbers are: 8, 14, 17, 20 and 39, with a Megaball of 7.

The jackpot was the second-largest lottery prize in U.S. history. Mega Millions will return to its starting jackpot of $15 million for Friday's drawing.
