CBS: Newtown Parents Talk About Meeting Lanza's Father

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. — Robbie and Alissa Parker, whose daughter Emilie died in the shootings at Newtown's Sandy Hook Elementary School, said in a CBS interview aired Friday morning that shooter Adam Lanza's father holds the "keys" to understanding the Dec. 14 massacre.

CBS aired the second part of the interview with the Parkers Friday. The first part was shown Thursday. Alissa Parker told CBS about the hour-long meeting with Peter Lanza.

"I guess the best way to put was I wanted to tell him that there was a lot of hope and opportunity to gain from this that he held the keys to," she said, "that there was information and things to be learned from what happened and without his cooperation it would go nowhere."
