Chiclana was arrested in May in connection with the baby's death a year before.
He was originally charged with second-degree manslaughter and inuring and impairing the morals of children, and was convicted of risk of injury in the baby's death, said NBC Connecticut.
When the baby died on May 16, 2014, he had a high level of alcohol in his system, police said.
The bottle found in the baby's crib had 25 percent alcohol in it, enough to be a 50-proof cocktail, according to NBC Connecticut.
The boy's mother told police she didn't recall who prepared the baby's bottle that day, according to NBC Connecticut.
She later said Chiclana prepared the baby's bottle, NBC Connecticut said, citing court documents.
The baby was teething and Chiclana joked about giving the baby alcohol to help with teething and sleeping, NBC Connecticut said.
