Bow Tie Cinemas Sets Costume Restrictions For "Star Wars" Screenings

NORWALK, Conn. -- If you were planning on dressing up as Darth Vader for the premiere of "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" on Thursday, Bow Tie Cinemas in Fairfield County has set restrictions on costumes at its theaters.

"'Star Wars' costumes are welcome. However, no face coverings, face paint, capes, cloaks, simulated weapons (including lightsabers/blasters) will be allowed in the building," the theater chain posted on its Facebook this week.

Bow Tie Cinemas said that the decision was made to ensure customer safety and to minimize lines.
