Big Chill Heads Into Norwalk With Frost Advisory In Effect Overnight

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- It's about to get even colder Friday night in Fairfield County, the National Weather Service warns, with a Frost Advisory in place along the coastline and a Freeze Watch in effect in the northern areas. 

In Southern Fairfield County, the Frost Advisory is in effect from 4 to 9 a.m. Saturday. Frost is possible with temperatures in the mid-30s. Sensitive outdoor plants may die if left uncovered or unprotected, the weather service warns. 

In Norther Fairfield County, the Freeze Watch is in effect from late Friday through Saturday morning. Overnight temperatures from Friday into Saturday are forecast to drop below freezing and into the upper 20 and lower 30s. 

Crops and other sensitive vegetation could be killed if left uncovered or unprotected, the weather service warns.
