Battle Among Democrats Leads The Week In News In Norwalk

NORWALK, Conn. – A physical fight between Norwalk’s Democratic leader and two fellow party members led the news in Norwalk this week.

Despite calls to resign, party Chairwoman Amanda Brown said she would remain after the fracas with Bill and Regina Krummel. Brown said she was defending herself during an argument over Board of Education candidates, but the fight left Bill with a black eye and Regina knocked to the ground. No charges were filed. 

In other news, the city selected former Norwalk resident Manuel Rivera to run its school system

Norwalk police sought the public’s help in finding suspects in a shooting that left three people injured. 

Norwalk Hospital earned a prestigious honor for its lung cancer care.
