Climbing temperatures and bright skies Sunday should make it easier for residents to clear away the layers of snow and ice.

Clouds were giving way to mostly sunny skies Sunday afternoon with a high of 36 to 38 degrees expected.

With temperatures falling to a low of 20 to 22 degrees Sunday night, icy conditions are likely through Monday morning.

Monday will be mostly sunny with a high near 29 degrees. There’s a chance of light snow Tuesday, with little accumulation expected, and a high near 37.

Wednesday should be sunny with a high around 35. Temperatures will continue to climb as the week continues, with highs near 50 expected for both Friday and Saturday.
